Dark, deep, intelligent, canned, acid, lonely and heavy techno as I don't listened since...
The european duo Instra:Mental after two years of short releases presents now their debut. I consider Resolution 653(NonPlus+, 2011) just like techno, conceived from there and dig into drum & bass till dubstep.

Teams vs.

Teams are clouds, shivers and manta rays diving in the deep ocean. They are the perfect combination between ambient electronics and psychedelic pop, inspired on a trip across the outer space of the USA. Explain Dxys Xff (2011, amdiscs) with other words should be impossible as stupid.

There's no so much bands that i love nowadays but I put specially atention in the record label Hippos in Tanks, which take care of bands such Hype Williams, Sleep ∞ Over, Gatekeeper or Laurel Halo. In the most carefree way, they experience a lo-fi walk from the hip-hop to synthetic psychedelic.
Laurel Halo floats in an acid dreamy electronic sounds and after the leak of his first songs and disinterested visual and muscial remixes for "How to Dress Well" or Sébastien Tellier is preparing now a first jump with King Felix 12", a sample of what will comes from a new hydden talent of electronics.

it's a wild combination

Everybody died in nineties: Kurt Cobain, River Phoenix, Jeff Buckley, Winona Ryder, Arthur Russell... The latter was maybe the most magical and misterious voice of the last times. Appoint each field to wich he dedicated and experienced has any sense only by the enormity of his work. But, that part of experimental groove, spacepop, disco... specially the songs compilated in Calling Out of Context(released in 2004) perfectly contemporary to nowadays and probably my favorite album. There is more love in these 12 songs than in real world.

936

"Le temps detruit tot". Well, in case of Peaking Lights, before be destroyed, they grow with time. Exactly, don't mature, grow. Since their first tape Clearvoiant in 2008 they traveled from drone fields through psychedelia in their first album and several ep's to land on which-pop, dub, whatever makes 936 (Not Not Fun, 2011) something more complex and big. Full of details full of beauty at the same time this album put Peaking Lights one step higher.

1972, 2011

Let's talk about 2011, just issue one of the most expected drone albums after rumours and previews. Tim Hecker's RAVEDEATH, 1972 (Kranky, 2011). This enormous album consists in 52 minutes and continues the Tim Hecker style of chaotic noise domesticated as a clasical way. A walk between opposites, between black and white, density and light, present and past. Released now in 2011, recorded in 2010, probably composed even a year before but for references is necesary look even further till 1980, 1978 and 1972.

the SSSSAMPS!

If I talk about the 2010 EP from The Samps maybe you don't know about who I'm talking, but for sure if I mention one of they plays in Haunted Graffiti you will put all your attention. Without Ariel, they collect this homemade songs for make you dance as GAMES do, full of patchwork sounds on James Ferraro's way and without any other intention than release their creativity.
