"Le temps detruit tot". Well, in case of Peaking Lights, before be destroyed, they grow with time. Exactly, don't mature, grow. Since their first tape Clearvoiant in 2008 they traveled from drone fields through psychedelia in their first album and several ep's to land on which-pop, dub, whatever makes 936 (Not Not Fun, 2011) something more complex and big. Full of details full of beauty at the same time this album put Peaking Lights one step higher.

1972, 2011
Let's talk about 2011, just issue one of the most expected drone albums after rumours and previews. Tim Hecker's RAVEDEATH, 1972 (Kranky, 2011). This enormous album consists in 52 minutes and continues the Tim Hecker style of chaotic noise domesticated as a clasical way. A walk between opposites, between black and white, density and light, present and past. Released now in 2011, recorded in 2010, probably composed even a year before but for references is necesary look even further till 1980, 1978 and 1972.

the SSSSAMPS!
If I talk about the 2010 EP from The Samps maybe you don't know about who I'm talking, but for sure if I mention one of they plays in Haunted Graffiti you will put all your attention. Without Ariel, they collect this homemade songs for make you dance as GAMES do, full of patchwork sounds on James Ferraro's way and without any other intention than release their creativity.
